| 2009 AP Recognition Awards
Singapore American School students have been recognized by the College Board due to their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP Exams. In May 2009, 536 SAS students completed 1,236 AP Exams. An impressive 95 percent of the scores were 3 or higher suggesting that students were “qualified” for college credit, advanced placement, or both. Congratulations to all SAS students who contributed to these exceptional results.
AP Scholar with Distinction
One hundred thirty-six students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. AP International Diploma
Fourteen students qualified for the AP International Diploma for Overseas Study (APID) by earning grades of 3 or higher on five or more AP Exams within three of five specifically defined academic areas.
