Modern Languages
Language is fundamental to the human experience. In an increasingly global and diverse society, a second language is essential and should be part of every young person's education.
The ML staff at SAS strives to develop the mastery of the four essential skills of communication (reading, writing, speaking and listening) while providing students with the opportunity to know another culture's music, art, literature and history.
We seek to provide students with varied opportunities to demonstrate their language abilities and we challenge our students to excel in multiple ways, for example through contextual learning experiences, integration of technology and the formation of real-world understandings.
As individuals in a learning community, the ML staff at SAS is committed to continually improving our practice to better meet the needs of our students and as a group of professionals we also collaborate in order to help our students meet our standards of performance.
